System Terms: The Words on Every Screen

6 entries · global-server edition

Chinese clients label their systems in their own shorthand, and the English build usually renames them. Learn the six words that sit on the HUD, the dungeon list, the guild ledger and the faction panel — and what each one is actually gating.

Start with the summary, then read the entry you need. Every definition is the general term used across games; the exact numbers belong to each game's own guide.

ONE DAY, FOUR THRESHOLDS Tili Fuben Zhanli Guaji Spent per run. Takes the budget. Locks the entry. Refills it overnight. daily budget content threshold power threshold time threshold Miss the loop and you lose the day: stamina caps, so unspent budget is gone, not banked. Power gates content, not skill — a high zhanli can still clear a fuben badly, or fail it slowly.
Four systems, one loop. Most daily complaints in Chinese game chat are about which of these four thresholds hit first.

Tili

ti li · stamina

Tili is stamina: the daily budget each run spends, refilling on a timer whether you play or not.

Do not readIt as health. It limits how much content you may enter per day; combat health is a separate bar.
English UI“stamina”, “energy”, “vigour”.
In gamesEntry costs on the dungeon list, refills bought with premium currency or gifted by friends. A full bar sitting unused is the commonest waste in the genre.
RelatedFuben, Guaji

Fuben

fu ben · instance

Fuben is an instance: a private copy of a dungeon made for your party alone.

Do not readIt as a copy of the game or a save file. The “copy” is of the zone, so other parties do not share your run.
English UI“dungeon”, “instance”, “raid”.
In gamesParty finders, daily runs and difficulty tiers. “Open a fuben” is a standard invitation, and the tier usually names the zhanli it expects.
RelatedTili, Zhanli

Zhanli

zhan li · combat power

Zhanli is combat power: one number rolling stats into a score the game uses to gate content.

Do not readIt as damage per second or a measure of skill. It is an entry requirement, and a padded score can clear the gate and still play badly.
English UI“combat power”, “CP”, “power”.
In gamesRecommended-power labels on dungeons, guild recruitment minimums, red “underpowered” warnings. Inflating it with cheap gear is a known trap.

Guaji

gua ji · hanging the machine

Guaji is leaving the character on autopilot: the game farms for you while the screen stays open.

Do not readIt as logging out. Guaji means still connected; logging out is a different word, and the difference decides whether a guild counts you present.
English UI“auto-battle”, “AFK mode”, “idle”.
In gamesOvernight farming, auto-pathing quests, AFK arena modes. Some games cap it, others sell an offline mode that pays less.

Zhenying

zhen ying · camp

Zhenying is a faction: a side you join, which decides who is friendly and who is killable.

Do not readIt as a guild or a chat group. A guild is who you play with; a faction is who the world treats as yours.
English UI“faction”, “camp”, “server side”.
In gamesTwo-camp servers, faction war and faction-locked shops. Switching is usually paid or locked, so check before you choose.

Paimai

pai mai · auction

Paimai is the auction: guild loot is sold inside the guild, and the proceeds are split by attendance or contribution.

Do not readIt as the open player market. The point is redistribution — the drop stays in the guild and the money returns to the members who earned it.
English UI“guild auction”, “guild shop”, “bid”.
In gamesGuild raids drop an item only members may bid on; the pot is divided at reset. Officers decide who is allowed to bid, which is the real leverage.

7 FAQ

Does guaji count as being online?

Yes. The client is still connected and the character still acts. Guilds that count attendance by login will count it; guilds that count by participation in scheduled events will not.

Why is my zhanli high but my damage low?

Power scores usually include health, defence and gear level, so they can be padded. Check the actual stat spread and your rotation before trusting the number.

Can I switch faction later?

Sometimes, usually for a fee or a long cooldown. On two-camp servers the choice also decides who you can group with, so read the restriction before picking.
