About GameCN

An index first, a guide library second

GameCN is an independent English-language index of guide sites for upcoming Chinese games. It exists because release information, patch timing and cultural context are scattered across Chinese-language sources that most global players cannot read.

01What is on this site

Thirteen guide sites are listed on the front page, each dedicated to a single game: open-world city RPGs, wuxia action games, creature collectors, life sims and tabletop rules. Every entry links out to its own domain, where the material can be as detailed as the game requires.

Six background guides and a glossary sit alongside the index: mythology, cultivation, jianghu, slang, the two-server split and the festival calendar. They are not game-specific. They cover the vocabulary that Chinese games assume you already have.

02Why the background guides exist

Most guides explain a system. Fewer explain why the system is shaped the way it is: why cultivation has realms rather than levels, why a festival banner appears in February, why the Chinese build runs a patch ahead. Those answers come from culture and from the Chinese release pipeline, and they are usually missing from English coverage.

The background pages are deliberately short and factual. They are written to be read once before you start a game, not to be a wiki.

03How sites are chosen

One game, one site. A listed site should be in English, focused on a single title, and maintained as the game changes. The index is not a directory of everything Chinese; it is a short list that a reader can finish.

04Independence

GameCN is not affiliated with any studio, publisher or platform named on this site. Outbound links are editorial, not paid placement. The site is ad-supported, and advertising has no influence on which games are listed or how they are described.

Trademarks and game names belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify the games being discussed.

05Corrections

If something here is wrong — a date, a translation, a claim about a game system — send the page URL and the correction through the contact page. Corrections to factual errors are applied and noted in the page itself when the change is substantial.
